| Comcast Does Block Users Access! One thing that is never mentioned is Comcast blocks customers access to NewsGroups servers. I have been unable to access my GigaNews server since April. Their email and online tech support does nothing except lie, play ignorant and do everything except address the complaint. They have giving the run around down to a science.
I recently subscribed to a DSL ISP. First thing I did was try to access my GigaNews account. Worked great like it did using Comcast until April 07.
I read on another forum Comcast blocks the top 20% of high usage users. They won't tell the customer. They simply block them and claim total ignorance. It's not only PtP, but also NewsGroups users.
I have also read they won't even tell what the limit is since it is a big secret. Talk about Catch 22! So even if you'd want to make them happy they refuse to tell what their limit is.
They falsely advertise 24/7 high speed I/N access. Just don't try and use it! The cries of some that high usage degrades the entire service are bogus at best. DLing files from the NGs at 3 AM is affecting very few if any other users.
Comcast lies when they say they do not block anyone. They've been blocking me since Apr 07. It's not only uploads, it's downloads too. I don't U/L to the NGs. |
