I thought about the camera lens for one of the "o", but I think it would be more of a distraction and difficult to read next to the other one. If there was an "o" by itself, I think it would've fit in.

So, I threw in a filmstrip. I'm not exactly thrilled with it, but maybe it'll give you something to start with.

USA		 I'm actually liking the middle one, but I wonder if we could simplify it. Just have it be the side view of the camera with the "Shooting For A Cause" banner coming out of it. Maybe even find a way to work in some more color.

Sure, no problem.

I'd done darker ones based on the website theme as it is. I can add color pretty easy as most of these were formerly colored.

Oh, here's a logo-esque one I just thought up.

I wish I could make better text-on-a-path stuff, but having PS7..it's about impossible. Somewhere I have Extensis Photographics, but it isn't installed at the moment.

Odd, this is a .PNG, but the transparency isn't showing unless you view the full size image..

 Nice image, CaFF...I played with it for a bit, but decided not to post it, in case I screwed it up too much...added a bevel and a rainbow gradient with different blendings, but then I just threw it away...

I like it. It should work both for print and a website. I wonder if we could make a web button from that. Perhaps showing the logo and then cycling to a message about supporting charity by buying a calendar?

Wow, there have been some amazing contributions to this this request. Especially considering the near lack of direction we were initially able to provide. I love both johnqpublic's filmstrip along with caffeinator's camera. Have we made a final decision on this yet. Any chance to open it up to a quick poll over at the DI forum since it's going to continue to represent this project.

Can you make that logo say "Shooting For A Cause" and then say "Kalendars For Kids" in some animated fashion? Also, can it be resized to 468x60 and 234x60 , and 90 pixels tall (as narrow as possible)?

EDIT: Forget that last one. Let's just stick with the two standard sizes.

 Looks good. Two minor issues, though. In the logo, the camera is clearly identified as a Canon. I'm not sure whether that would cause any legal issues, so would it be possible to strip the word "Canon" (and any other possibly Canon identifying names) from the image?

Also, could you keep the web button's image white and make the text black, it will probably fit in better with most websites.

Actually, now that I think of it, I have another idea for a web button. Now sure how good you are at "morphing" text, but perhaps we could have the button initially say "Shooting For A Cause", then have that phrase morph into "Support A Children's Charity" and then finally to "Buy A Calendar". The sayings are simple, but how it changes between them is eye catching. If morphing isn't possible, then use some other transition that leaves the overall camera background in place.

Big Logo w/ Canon removed

Ok, I did these up to see if it's what you'd want before I redo the text for the new phrases. They are just text layers in PS, so no biggie to change...I'd just already made the GIF.

I upped the color on the banner's camera so it shows up better with the darker text compared to the big version's text.

 I agree, but I can't quite figure out what it needs just yet. One more change, though. Let's move "Support a Children's Charity" and "Buy a calendar" before "Shooting For A Cause" and "Shootingforacause.com". People aren't going to know what "Shooting For A Cause" is, but they'll know (in a general sense) what "supporting a children's charity" is.
