| Cox does have a nice lineup here in Connecticut
Ranging from 768k/256 for 16.99 to the 20Mb/2Mb for 51.99
Add to that the powerboost service they license from Comcast as well.
There does seem to be some misunderstanding in some posts above however.
For starters..there is no Fiber competition (AKA Verizon fios) here in this state. Our state is serviced by AT&T and their pewverse (tm) service. It's unclear really why Cox offers this top tier service in this state when basically that is their only competition in the areas of Ct. they serve.
It probably has to do with their network being newer or more advanced enough to offer it. Or maybe it's because they're a part of the overall New England region where ftth is a competitor in some parts of it. That's not here in Ct. however.
Even though Cox borders my Comcast area and is in the towns practically adjacent to mine..even Comcast doesn't match those tiers. We have the 6000/384k with p/b..or 8000/768k with pb for about the same price Cox is offering 10/2 to 20/2. And so clearly you can see it's by area and even town..and by provider as to what is going on here in this state and/or region.
Anyways..kudo's to Cox for doing what they are. Everyone I know here in this state that uses them really likes their service. -- The Coyote captured the RR! Roadrunner Rick is now Comcastic! |
