 Pivot isn't worth extra $15-$25

$15-$25 on top of a traditional Sprint mobile phone plan will net cable customers mobile video content, email access and web browsing.
I guess there is limited interest. You can get all those things from a std Sprint plan without paying anything extra to Comcast.

And if you want your Comcast email, you can do that with any mobile phone that supports full web access. Just go to

I tend to agree. There's no real benefit.

Comcast = pricey Cable provider with caps on data
Sprint = cheap Wireless provider with limited coverage (without roaming) and no caps on data.

Comcast gobbled up Adelphia and swapped markets with TimeWarner in some areas and is doing ok (and increasing prices all the time).
Sprint merged with Nextel, struck a deal with Clearwire on WiMAX and is struggling with keeping subs.

I don't think these 2 companies would work well together.

Both Sprint and Pivot charge $15 for their data services. However that Pivot data plan includes access to the video and multimedia content at no additional charge. Stand-alone Sprint customers have to pay $20-25 for Power Vision services with the video services.

So essentially with Pivot you're getting the Video services for the price of the data services.

Does it really matter? Maybe not for some. Yet since I'm a current Sprint customer this is essentially a free perk when compared to what I'm already paying for. I may not be using it all the time but it is nice to be able to listen to Music Choice or watch the news while sitting around the waiting room.

Yeah, its pretty dumb. Bundling is supposed to offer value, not be an additional expense! Why would anyone contract for two services, when they can get them separately for less money?? Whoever handles marketing for Pivot should be fired.

They took over TW here and prices haven't moved up one bit.
