back-peddle

we all know AT&T and/or Dish Network was going to back-peddle on this as soon as it hit the news/web and look, they did.

Trying to save face, huh?

Edited to reflect dishnet as well.

How exactly did they back-peddle when they didn't do anything wrong? If you read the statement, it was quite obvious that Dish Network was the one who errored.

Re: back-peddle

"...to cancel their bundled satellite TV and phone service"

AT&T has a face to save there.

On the earlier thread concerning this issue, I did raise the question as to whether the offending CSR was with ATT or with Dish. The answer is now obvious. Given the stress that the customer was under, it is understandable that they did not snap that they had been transferred to Dish. Not sure that ATT's response was primarily saving face as it was to tell what really happened, but that may be lost to some on this thread.

I used to work for Earthlink, and unfortunately we had to do the same thing, well, actually I never had to, we outsourced sat. CS to the Phillipines (before it all went to Phil), but if you ever want to get out of a screwed up bill, just send a legal complaint, it's cheaper for the company just to credit the charges than to go into the legal system over it.
