AT&T had a rule and it is not an entirely unfair rule, they would have to raise subscription costs without it. The rule is "he who does not return our equipment will be billed". AT&T's biggest mistake was not flagging Southern CA accounts as exceptions to the rule. Do you live in Southern CA and want to get out of your contract? Write AT&T soon...

You are joking right?? You think large companies like this really lose money when a disaster strikes? In a case like this it would either be written off or insurance of the company, not the customer, would pay out.
