Actually, a better analogy would be why buy a car capable of 120 MPH if you can only drive it 100 miles/month? The answer is to be able to get somewhere faster for the few times that you need to instead of more times while driving slower. Buy a Prius for daily driving expecting to drive a lot of miles and save the Lamborghini for the once a month, show off to the ladies, drives.

It wasn't meant to be an analogy. It was only an example of limitations on things we buy that people have come to accept. Sometimes I think folks just need to get over it. It's fairly well known that you can't have your cake and eat it too.
