ATT

When SBC (which is now ATT) split my area code, I was billed over 1000.00 for dialing into the old area code, even though they explained for six months that it would be free to call from one to the other. I even had the documentation in writing they'd mailed to all the affected changees.

I called SBC and they told me it was ATT's problem, and they transferred me to ATT--who promptly told me the billing error was on the part of SBC and retransferred me.

I could never get anyone on the phone to take responsibility for the billing error, even though we all agreed it was a billing error and I should not have been charged for dialing into the other area code.

That was seven years ago. ATT eventually disconnected my long distance service for refusing to pay the bill---and it now shows up as a bad debt that I've never paid.

Thanks SBC/ATT!
