Re: Missing Guide Data

Unbelievable, they sent a "stronger" signal to the box, but same problem, but am told I have to wait an hour for the program information to populate. It has populated, it has all populated as "No Program Information" on every channel from 45-900 for 6 of the next 8 days.

But here is the real strange thing, go to scheduled recordings and they are all still scheduled, even though the program name is not there in the guide....

Well, I take that back. The DVR has program information for channels 1-40 for all 14 days, but if you go to channel 49 and above, it is missing the information like before.

Grr...

I called and after only a minute on hold got a representative who sent a signal to the box to reset it, all is fine now. I thought that power cycling the box(with the power cord) would accomplish the same thing, but I guess not.

On another note, it looks like we are going to be getting our first PEGs soon, 45-47 are in the guide, but not tunable yet.

I have a NIM and about once per month I need to unplug it and plug it back in. I usually notice when I hit the weather widget and it doesn't pull in anything.

If you haven't tried, reset your NIM or router and see if it helps.
I have had issues with the weather widget as well, but oddly enough, only on my dvr, not my SD STB. And resetting the box and the router does nothing to correct the problem. I usually just have to wait it out and then all of a sudden it starts woking.

I'll try resetting the router later today. It seems to be only one DVR w/the problem, my other one is perfectly fine. The widgets work on both of the DVRs, it is very odd(especially since the one that is working is the one that is on the end of my daisy chain of coax).

I'll report back as to whether it works or not.

There's another thread on here where others hit the exact same problem. It happened for a few days, and then I believe it cleared itself up.

Well, now instead of incorrect guide data my DVR has NO data for Sun-Thurs, and it's not saying "Please Wait..." as if it is loading, it says "No Program Description" on every channel for 120 hours straight. I've tried rebooting the DVR 2x and I get the same results.

Sigh....

I'm about ready to bite the bullet and go broke on 2 Tivos.
