Depending on what I'm doing I use xplorer^2 lite (free), FreeCommander, or Windows Explorer.

FreeCommander/xplorer^2 for general file management, anything more involved than going to a directory, and double clicking a file.

Windows Explorer for light tasks and for file searching. It reads text *in* the files, where google desktop and other file managers I've tried don't.

Windows explorer most of time...;
Total Commander full of options (too much). I am one of the first paid customer ages ago ..
Free Commander also, fast and easy.
