shochatd : I tried the Directory Utility method on 2 Macs. On one (a MacBook), it worked like a charm. This is so much simpler than the old (Netinfo Manager) way. Then I tried it on the other machine (an iMac). Everything seemed ok, and the Verify said that the NFS server (my Linux box) seemed to be fine. But then when I clicked Apply, I did not end up with a mount. In fact, there was no Servers directory under /Network. Another difference is that in the successful case on the MacBook, there is a SHARED section in the sidebar with an All... under that. The All... acts as if it were /Network (it has Servers etc. under it). On the iMac there is no SHARED in the sidebar (unless I create the mount manually using Go->Connect to Server). I tried creating Servers manually under /Network, but it did not help. And when I restarted, Servers was gone! Any ideas on how to debug this?
Thanks.
-- David
