OK, you have it plugged directly into your PC which is pretty normal. EVDO is simply one of those things that you either have access to, or not. You happy to one of the lucky ones who can get it. I was on WildBlue for 2 years, and I have been on Alltel's EVDO for a month now.
As far as the "unlimited" goes, I would not hold my breath on that one. My guess is that a few people will DL a few GB's per day and then we will see a policy. Also, on busy towers, Alltel is shutting down the data stream every 12 hours, so the data card hangs if it has been connected that long. No big deal.
I do like Alltel's service compared to satellite!
