CylonRed Premium,MVM join:2000-07-06 Bloom County	While I don't see the new company... making money, I sure hope they find a way rather than being sold in pieces. I love my Covad line (via SE) and if they go out - I might not be able to keep SE (which has been rock solid stable for many years)... -- Brian Free health care is 100% a misnomer - it is not free and never will be free.

I'd give your service a year, maybe two before they dump it after doing a cost analysis on customer regions. Equity funds buy and sell not buy and hold unless a good reason.

Must be value to be had in Covad otherwise some equity fund would buy crappy Vonage for $1 a share.

Of course, Platinum Equity could be using it as a nice tax write-off for far more profitable ventures. Huge prrofits are nice but free cash flow and large equity are better. But, that's not an equity fund's deal. Buy it, fix it up, and sell it. Or, sell it piece by piece to smaller players.
