"I am keeping my old Sony KV-1972R until the bitter end (and maybe beyond). Since I purchased it back in 1985, I have had to replace the speaker (1986), voltage regulator (1994) and just last year the flyback transformer (which burned out with a cloud of acrid smoke). It works fine with cable."
I sure it's a fine TV and I can understand not wanting to spend money when you don't have to... but even under the best of circumstances those 22 year old pixels can't be glowing the way they did when you first bought it.
Watching that thing has got to be brutal on the eyes by now. |
