Re: [ Bright House] Orlando Area - Slow Download Speeds on Xbox Prior to this I didn't pay attention to ping times. I would surf and things were fast and if I fired up counter strike I got a decent ping of 50 or so. However for the last 2 weeks surfing has sucked. It does not matter where I go or what website I can only get about 30Kb. Its the same for all computers on my network (3) 1 mac and 2 PCs. I have even tried all 3 plugged directly into the modem with the same results. I really do not get how I can have a speed test max out my connection but when I hit any server for a download or website for a video it slows allll the way back down. Its just frustrating  I was watching my bandwidth monitor when trying to download a few files from different servers. The connection would go from 0 to 50 to 0 to 110 to 30 to 0 to 150 every second. It was all over the place. Bright house is coming out this afternoon, A tech I got a hold of this morning said he noticed "an unusual number of disconnects from my modem" which was just installed this last sunday. |
