I doubt it's something nefarious

I have noticed some extremely slow loads from results (particularly cached pages) for several weeks now. Since it's happening to me and my clients on Verizon or Covad wire and VZ, Cov, or OpenDNS routing, I seriously doubt it's traffic shaping by any one ISP. Most likely, it's something gone wrong in the Googleversetinuum™.
