| Re: PRIVATEphone too? ? I'm not a big fan of grand central...especially since they've been swallowed by Google. I'd rather use Jangl, Jaxtr and YouMail.
I never really used my PrivatePhone but sure the hell would like to keep my number...225-7878  PrivatePhone's website always looked so cluttered and ugly and full of flashing and gyrating ads.
AIM Phone Line works exactly the same as PrivatePhone and I trust AOL more than I do Netzero....not as much spam, better looking websites...and I already have a scree name/email account so I don't have to bother with managing yet another useless webmail account just so I could use PrivatePhone.

You might want to checkout » www.grandcentral.com to replace Privatephone. Grandcentral is only for incoming calls. You need a line to be able to call out on. That being said, Grandcentral is great for a virtual number. GC is a dead link for now -its not loading over here.

I read over the FAQ and I am not too sure that PrivatePhone will go away. NetZero voice provided an add-on service to allow call forwarding and dialout. However, I have the most basic version of PrivatePhone that forwards all calls to voicemail and has no dialing options. As that feature is independent of NetZero voice I suppose it might be able to survive. I am kind of surprised that NetZero has not clarified this.
