They will start taxing MY internet service and up my USF so they can give cheap service to those who do not have it. I mean, you pay taxes to support your hospital, and they are providing FREE CARE. And in your world, why should we have an interstate highway system? I mean, YOU don't use it, so why should you have to pay for it? And the fire department? YOU haven't had a fire, so why should YOU have to pay for it.
The internet is a NECESSARY utility, if you want to be a productive member of society. The fact that someone choose to live in a 'rural' area shouldn't mean they are second class citizens. The internet is, and should be treated as, a utility. Which means that wherever you choose to live in the US, you should have access to it. It may not be cheap, but at least it should be avialable.
