1 edit | Not Supprised I am on FFC and we have been spamed by Ron Paul Fanatic. Let not forget Mr. Paul is a typical Libertarian. As such, he drags in every malcontent moobat. The problem is Libertarians had never defined any guiding principals; they we are for liberty but fails to define what is liberty and pragmatically allow any malcontent to join and redefine liberty. As a result you will any a wide rang of contradicting supporters from racist, socialist to anarchist factions. |

Yes the message of freedom does have wide support from racists to anarchists to socially conservative Democrats to anti-war Republicans and to Americans who believe the US Government does not have a right to do "whatever it takes" to stop terrorism. Oh yea, you also got those crazy people who think we are overtaxed, we overspend, we give too much money to countries who should get zero. Not to mention, we have crazies who think it's their right to own guns, goofy ass people who think marijuana should be legalized!
The Libertarian Party itself is disorganized, but libertarians don't need but one guiding principal; liberty. Both Democrats and Republicans want to expand the government one way or anything. They either want our empire to grow, or they want to take care of the citizens from cradle to grave. -- The true patriot is motivated by a sense of responsibility, and out of self interest -- for himself, his family, and the future of his country -- to resist government abuse of power. He rejects the notion that patriotism means obedience to the state. |
