Blackberry doesn't have their own "data" networks.<br><br>Boy is the IPOD a major ripoff for international data.  I don't know why someone wouldn't go with a BB from T-Mobile or Cingular (or Verizon / Sprint 8830 for that matter).]]></description>

I use the BB8830 to websearch quite a bit overseas and when I was in Taiwan, out of curiosity I used Ipchicken . com to find out if it would show the foreign IP address and it shows up the same as here in the US  c000-000.blackberry.net (used 000-000 for example purposes).  I do believe the web requests are routed over the blackberry server. ]]></description>
