Resetting 2WIRE 1000HW

I had problems Resetting the 2Wire 1000HW because it doesn't have a hard reset button, my problem was similar to this guy »Cant configure the HomePortal 1000hw the topic is too old and i couldn't post the solution but here it is for everybody who has this problem.

First the symptoms are:

- You can navigate but not at a full speed
- You cant access gateway.2wire.net page, it says page not found or something similar
- All lights are green
- You tried to reset it and you cant and you are tired of reading "Press the reset button" or "upgrade the firmware", you know you cant do it because you cant access the admin page

So the trick is to connect the router and disconnect just the dsl line from the back of the router, by this way you can access the »gateway.2wire.net/management , now go there and go to reset and reset the damn thing or edit it, that will solve the problem, at least that worked for me, connect the dsl line again and have fun!
