After all your frustrations, and still having to pay the full bill while trying to diag the problem., I'am surprised your staying with them, even at free service, there is NO WAY,i would want to have castrate( i mean comcast), simple for the the reasons you mentioned (CSR support, tech support, ect) -- Some absorb information & learn, For some.information only goes in one ear & out the other. | | 96510730

2 edits | reply to whocares For us to get Satellite TV, we would have to cut down a few large trees.
Is there any other option than Cable or Satellite for T.V. services?
for internet, we'd just get DSL.
compared to comcast, at least for right now, it's a load faster. the downside is, we could only get the 1.5 package, but it's still faster than Comcast "High Speed" Internet.
another plus would (hopefully) be the reduction in service outages. we have an outage about once-per-day now.
I'll do one last service appointment with Comcast, and stretch out all my repair resources, but then, if nothing works, I'll ring them up to disconnect our internet service, and cable, if we can find an alternative other than Over the Air.

Poof! - it seems to be working better. Possibly a long-term service issue with our entire neighborhood (the problem only lasted for 7 years). Nevertheless, it all works now; Analog TV, Digital TV, Interactive TV Guide, DVR, and High Speed Internet all work without a hitch - for the time being...
