| reply to jarablue Let me see if i understand this
So, Per the topic it states that 5 meg users will be upgraded to 10 meg and there will be a 16 meg service added. When i spoke to charter they didnt seem very interested in upgrading me from 5 to 10 without costing alot more money. 20 dollars a month more. When exactly is charter supposed to upgrade 5 meg users to 10 and 3 to 5? Have they done this already? Just dont know that they plan on upgrading anyones service without charging them alot more than they should. |

| What Karl fails to mention like always is prices are involved. 3-5meg free. 5-10meg cost more. 10-16 cost more.
BUT the good thing with all of the tiers is now bundles are cheaper than standalone items, its "suppose" to be cheaper to bundle now all the time than just getting one item out right. I'm sure its going to depend on area though.
I love my 10meg service now, as anyone who has seen my screenshots of pulling 16meg downloads off newsgroups can attest to. :P |

| Why is my service so abysmal?! I'd love to rave about Charter, but their pathetic performance and frequent outages are really getting on my nerves. Six months of absolutely horrendous service, complaints, etc. Sure, there are times (like an hour ago) when I'll get the full 10Mbps speed for 30 minutes, but the it'll drop to either nothing (my first attempt to reply bombed out and I lost all connectivity) or down to a consistent 512Kbps - 1Mbps.
I'm sure you would agree that you would likewise be as aggravated if you paid $80/mo for something worth $10. -- Da Biff |
