| Cause they are lazy, plain and simple. If they have to get out of the truck they don't want to do it. The funny thing is, the time it takes them to sit there and fill out that card they could have gone to your door and attempt delivery. They do that at my house too but I have a fenced in front yard with beware of dog signs and electric fence signs so no one wants to touch it lol. |

| Dude, USPS is the worst. I moved back in July and I still am not getting my mail forwarded. Fortunately my past landlord is nice and gives me a call when I have a stack, but still. I even called supervisors, spoke to the mail carrier and nada. -- [[Your signature here]] |

| reply to Oleg USPS has been great for me lately. If you usually have the same carrier, it helps to talk to them occasionally... you get much better service.
I'm getting pissed at Fedex leaving thousands of dollars of computer equipment on my front porch without even knocking so it sits overnight. I live in the hood and that's not good! |

I live in the hood and that's not good! That's strange, where I live, it's UPS who does that, not Fedex. If I'm not home when Fedex delivers (and I'm usually not, since they seem to like to do it early in the day), then I have to take the card to the center in Middletown (about 20 minutes away) and pick it up.
While that is a bit of a pain, I'm somewhat uncomfortable with the way UPS just leaves everything on the porch without even ringing the doorbell, even though I live in a nice area. I really freaked out when I came home and found the parts to the server and first media PC I was building piled up on the front porch. My wife was most likely home, but since they don't even ring the doorbell anymore, she had no idea it was there. |

| reply to TheWickerMan My UPS guy (and/or his girlfriend) rings the bell twice, but only after trying to hide whatever he delivered under my door mat. Trust me -- draping a door mat over a 3 cu ft box just isn't the same as hiding it. Then he runs away before I can get there and hand him the Return UPS Box with the sealed lead-acid battery I've been trying to send back to APC for 2 years. -- Have I mentioned I'm connected on FiOS? |

| reply to Oleg I've given up with USPS delivering packages to my house. If they fill out the little orange card, I usually tell them to simply drop it off at my front door, but that takes days. Sometimes they'll even ignore the card and leave it in the mailbox for days before they bother to bring back the package.
If at all possible, I have packages sent to my P.O. Box... works out much better that way. -- irc.removed.us - #dslr | DSLR Phishtracker | Email: removed@dslr.net |

1 edit | reply to Oleg I had em leave a package on the trunk of my son's new car out in our driveway...which is just a few feet from our front door ..??
Anyway, between that and leaving them sitting on the road in front of our mailbox, I had enuf and called the main PO. I don't know whether he chewed the worker out or just passed the message, but we have had no problems since. |
