Google certainly does make all of their money from ads. No doubt about it, but they make that money by having ads in certain places. Their big plan is to have you become reliant on ALL of their products but only show ads in certain places.
They know full well that people hate ads and they go well out of their way to provide MANY services that give people an ad free experience. I HATE ads, but just about the only place on the Internet where I don't block them is on Google's site. They have a way to do them that doesn't make me sick.
I do not recall anyone from Google saying that there wouldn't be ads on You Tube. Not saying that you are wrong, but in everything that I read around that time that one doesn't ring a bell. |
