If this is the same story I read, then the person allowed himself to be blindfolded and tied up too.. If they are going to tie you up and blind fold you what's to stop them from shooting you in the back of the head. Only a sheep would allow this.
NEVER GIVE IN TO A ROBBER. Always fight them tooth and nail no matter what.
That is part of the problem these days. Too many people don't fight back with all they've got. If they did there would be a lot less robberies. Sure there may be a slightly higher percentage of injured victims but it would by far lower the amount of robberies because many robbers don't want to get hurt themselves. And with luck, there would be more maimed buglers. |

Are you seriously opining that it should be SOP to hand over your life to a thief who may or may not kill you? And all just to save your wallet/server/insert name of personal property here.

I am serious. The money is not relevant, it is the principal of being robbed that matters. If you can fight, then fight. I believe wholly in resisting anyone would cause you harm... being robbed is harm.
I would make any robber work extra hard where possible. And the word is "may or may not" you must assume that they will kill you if you let them tie you up.
Yes; you may lose, but at least you fought back. |

How about running away from the robbers? This girl tried to flee during a robbery attempt on halloween night and look where she ended up. She's currently being dispose of in an oven then stuffed into a can after being shot in the back.
If she would have forked over the cellphone, she would have been alive.

imo with how important data is today they should have had armed guards in the building. i mean you cant miss someone power sawing through a wall and just wait for them to come in the opening and then give em one in the head one in the chest.

That depends. Data centers are very noisy environments. Even if the guard/manager/night watchman is outside the data center, the rumble of equipment may have easily masked the noise. |

I agree.
Too many people don't have the courage to stand up for their rights. I believe whatever the robber takes; the person they stole it from doesn't deserve it anyway since they didn't have the guts to do anything about it.
If the robber's opening move is something other than shooting you in the back of the head, then you've got a good chance of finding an opening and wrestling the gun away from him/her (example).
Of course there will be those who disagree, most of those who disagree are probably against concealed weapons and the right to bear arms. If they're ever in a moment where their life is in danger by unscrupulous individuals, I hope they consider to themselves how a firearm could reverse the situation in their favor.
Just my opinion...
CI host should own up to the security claims on their website and get some more guards and alarms.
