When I worked for another major hosting firm, we hired CI-Host "refugees" that were leaving in droves. Apparently the owner of the company is less than reputable and lives in a house with bullet-proof glass... for a reason. I've heard horror stories of stolen domain names and stolen business contacts.
CI Host is kind of a joke among the major hosting firms out there. It would not suprise me if this was an inside job considering the owner pisses off enought people to be forced to live in a bullet-proof home. Also, the CI Host building here in Ft. Worth recently had all it's windows painted over. |

| It's funny that you say that. I remember seeing a job posting on Craigslist for CI Host, and I remember that they were looking for an L3 technician for $30k/year. Good luck!
Even the small firm I work for pays me better than that!
(BTW, it may not be as bad as I think it sounds, considering how CHEAP CI really is on the inside, but maybe they don't make their L3 techs work on-call 24/7?) |
