Dear Charter,

Thanks for the offering of faster HSI speeds(although I've yet to receive a letter/E-Mail/Snail Mail) here in the Federation Outpost of San Luis Obispo, CA.
However I must decline your offering due to the following:
1) Pricing: I currently get ATT DSL service(6/768) @ $35.00 a month. Looks like your competing price for 5/512 would amount to $54.00 a month. I have your digital TV service(which includes DVR) so I'm quoting your "bundled" pricing. Once again, this is why I left Charter's HSI service on 10/2006.
2)Relialibility: As in what happened in San Luis Obispo County(entire area of Charter's service) last May 2007. Had NO service for 3 days-as in NO TV/Internet(I mention the internet as numerous folks I know were mighty pissed off at this situation, whereas I suffered no down time)and I had to call customer service to get a rebate even though Charter apologized through our local newspaper for the problem. Charter SHOULD have offered EVERY customer in San Luis Obispo County an automatic rebate. Period.
Sorry, Charter-but until you get more realistic pricing on your HSI, I'll stick with DSL.
Regards,

P.S. Like the On-Demand service...

Base price for the 5M with 1 other service is going to be 44.99.

+ $5 for 10/1
+ $25 for 16/2

Your bill will show the base price + the what ever upgrade if one.

This is only effective in the Western market as of right now.
