Vtech 8100 and Phone Adapter

I have the 500 Min plan and I have a Vtech IP Phone. Can I also add a phone adapter to my account?

If so how?

I cannot get a straight answer from vonage on it.

THANKS!

that depends on what you mean by "add a phone adapter" if you want to add another device to choose from, to switch back and forth between, it's no problem, pick one up from best buy or one of the other retailers who carry vonage products.

if you want to be able to use both devices at the same time, though, the answer is no. a phone number (for the most part) can only be assigned to 1 device at any given time. now, if you can get a hold of the uniden uip1869v (with the vonage branding) that has cordless handsets (as well as a corded handset) and phone ports in the back for connecting your other phones and devices (fax machine or what have you) unfortunately, they no longer sell these through their website, nor have i been able to find them through any of their retailers.

now i say for the most part, because, for brief periods of time a number is assigned to 2 devices during a device exchange.
