Hel_child : Ok so just a quick update that i have found.
i went though the Fast Step sw and for the IPS put in my cell phone.
Now the Ch1 or the 2nd or for that matter never come on accept after a reboot of the 804.

So what i have done is typed in the Ip address of the router and gone to the Show > dialer > CR .

so the numbers i used were my cell starting with the 1+area code and number then just area code and number then just number.

All failed i finally turned it off when all the counters got up to 15.

So at this point i think it is trying but still not sure anyone have any other ideas becuse i am almost out of hair

I got it from a buddy of mine that I work with, the last time he used it, it worked fine, so I am pretty sure the hardware is fine.

My issue is that I can’t seem to get the unit to initiate the dial out.

I have had the phone company check and they can ping all the way to the router, I am getting good IP addys.

The numbers I am dialing into are good,

I am very knowledgeable about PC hardware and software however with this Cisco I am at a user level, so I am .

I have created and recreated the . Ios Files several times and even went over them with the guy I got the unit from. However I am using the Faststep SW to create them

I am wondering if there is a way to test the Dialer function to have it try and dial, my Cell phone or something like that? If so how would I do it? and remember I am kind of a noob with this thing.

I have also attached my IOS file just in case I missed something but anything you guys can tell me would be a great help, I have tried just about everything I have found that relates in this forum to try and fix it with no luck so far.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

!
