However, I router can act as an intelligent HUB that knows how to direct traffics to their destination on the proper ports. A plain HUB just can't do this in the sense what your computer sees on its port is also available on the other ports on the HUB. That's why we prefer to use a HUB than switches and/or router with switches to sniff packets. These days, it is almost impossible to shop for a new router with a HUB, but switches ONLY.]]></description>
