Keep in mind that he scored his billions during the dot com craze. He could have had a business selling e-dogpoo and someone would have paid a lot of money for it given good enough salesmanship.

The proof is what has become of "broadcast.com"? Anything there today? Nope. Cuban's claim to fame is that he sold Yahoo an empty bag.
