 Comcast Notices on File Share

Have anyone received a notice about sharing of copyrighted materials via file sharing software on Comcast or other networks . I heard there is a great deal of pressure developing on this issue. Under Digital Millennium Copyright Act
. I always wondered how anyone could get away with the share. COmments?

I never have, but there have been plenty of accounts of
others having received them while filesharing on Comcast's
network.

Of course what with them being the largest ISP (not sure
if that's still the case), it would only follow that there
would be more people receiving DMCA notices than on any
other network.

That makes sense. I see some estimates of over 25% of internet traffic might be torrent activity.

Just curious to see if anyone is really being served with legal notice; really litigation. I see many have been receiving the notices, which protects the ISP, under from what I understand is Safe Harbor Notice. They tell the users to knock it off. Thereby CCast avoids liability.
Thank you for the response.

I got a letter from Comcast once. I forced encryption using uTorrent, turned off the legacy connections (unencrypted) and started using Peer Guardian. Am I safe? No. But will they go after the torrent users who aren't encrypting or using Peer Guardian (more likely) before they go after me? Probably.

Seeding doesn't work well with Comcast anyway. Seems like you share upload while you're downloading but pure seeding seems like it never works. Must be the Sandvine thingy.
