 | Elite? 6Mbps? I had that back in 2004. That's like dial-up. Pffft. Have fun with that old tech, Texas... haha

For those of you "needing" more than 6 Mbps, what are you seriously using the connection for routinely that requires that kind of throughput? Personally, I would love the Express package. Price is right (less than what I pay now) and it's way more than I would even use. |

Needless to say, there are PLENTY of things that require more than 6mbps, all of which are legitimate, legal activities. |

Suggested minimum configuration is 7.5 Mbps for 720p and optimum configuration is 13.5 Mbps for 1080p and 5.1 surround sound. YMMV. |

(thanks dv8or ) Telecommuting, videoconferencing, VPN, online streaming HD video...especially in a FAMILY home where there are multiple computers/users trying to do these things simultaneously...
Should I even get into the single HD stream limitation? There are plenty of homes with more than one HDTV, and that number increases every day. Not only that...but even if you only have ONE TV, you can't record one HD stream while watching another. With Cable/Satellite, you can have as many HD streams as you want coming into your home, limited mainly by the number of set top boxes you have.
The point is, AT&T is rolling out a nearly-obsolete product.
There, is that better, for the search deficient among us? |

 | reply to openbox9 Read the previous post. There are several other reasons listed there. You can probably figure out what you need if you don't partake in those activities... |
