I use BT to download Episodes of Naruto as well as other legal fansubbing Anime episodes. So do Millons of others. No I am not so dumb to think alot of people don't use it for illegal things but I don't. A get-away car is used in most any crime. Is everyone who drives a criminal?
USA has international copyright treaties that make redistributing Japanese works a copyright violation here, too. Same concept of someone pirating Windows in Japan.
Still, it's not unethical to download what you can't buy. Just be aware that something can be illegal even if it's ethical and moral.
