[AZ] irc.bitient.org - not working (has only worked once for me)

Hello,

This IRC server, irc.bitient.org , does not work for me. Everytime I try it I get this message

(21:29:18) * Connecting to irc.bitient.org (6667)
(21:29:31) * Unable to resolve server

I have only been able to connect to it once. Is this an issue specifically with the Cox HSI network?

btw, other networks such as irc.p2p-network.net work just fine.

Just connected from Arizona using mIRC

Can you Ping and Tracert the server?

Update...

I don;t use Cox's DNS...

I switched to it though and Cox's DNS will not resolve irc.bitient.org

So it appears it is some sort of a problem w/cox

You could switch DNS to get it to work...

try

4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2
4.2.2.3
4.2.2.4

yeah, I can't ping it either.

Why do I need to change the dns. Is cox blocking this network or something?

Cox blocked a few of them a while back because of botnets.
