Here's my problem with all of this. File sharing won't go away, there's already a program called Mule (works kinds like Skype but for file sharing) which hides your IP perfectly, it just isn't in widespread enough use yet. Whatever the ISPs or whoever does, someone will find a different strategy to use. However, my beef is with, say Comcast's, 6,000 or 8,000 Mbps advertised speeds. No one really needs those speeds except for file sharing. Nearly everyone can do quite nicely with 4,000 or perhaps less. If ISPs are going to throttle our bandwidth, why on Earth should we pay for bandwidth we don't get to use?

What a claim... I'm sure you know it ALL, too!

In my particular case I have 6 kids, 4 of which use the net regularly as part of our home schooling (plus my wife and I) have our own PCs, too. We have 10 Mbit internet. We use EVERY BIT OF IT'S SPEED ON A REGULAR BASIS for this and many other legit uses.

Don't tell us what we don't need... just because you cannot think of a good reason doesn't make it a good argument.
