Extra in US, 2-nd category in Russia (have a good reason to stay with this license class for now - upgrade to 1st cat. with 1 kW permitted power level make my chances to finally won my battle for the right to install decent HF antennas on building where I live, while in Russia, much slimmer).

Won't put in here my callsigns since my personal data is available online ....

Tech class here since 2000. Haven't been active in quite a long time but I just renewed my ticket last month.

When did BBR get a Ham forum? Guess I haven't been around much.

Just passed my Tech exam with flying colors this past Saturday. Waiting for the money to purchase my rig. See you on the air eventually!

Welcome!

When you get on the air, maybe we can start a CT DSLR VHF net.

KF6VB.

Got my ticket around 1970. Novice, General, Advanced. Then did the Extra around 1985 or so. With 20WPM code. Ham Radio was the foundation of a career in electronics.

Haven't been active for some years, thinking about getting back into it.

Do it! Cycle 24 is on the upswing now and I've been told that modern receivers are much, much better than the stuff we had twenty-five years ago.
