I am just curious. If you still have this phone, can you please try to plug it into any ATA device to see if such a behavior still exists. If it doesn't, then perhaps MJ fails to ring the phone that requires certain amount of currents. I'd suggest paying a little more, if necessary, to make sure the phone works properly. Not sure what you mean. Just get a phone and connect it to the mj adapter connected to usb port. No software issues so far.
