| [Help] VMware Converting Physical Machine to Virtual
Using VMware Converter I converted one of my physical machines to a virtual one. When I open it up in VMware Player, it tells me that I've got 10 days to activate windows. I purposely converted an existing install as I thought that I could get around the issue of activating windows since I had already done so in a normal installation environment.
Is there something I can do to keep this from happening? I can't register it as it's technically OEM and has no registration normally. Am I making sense? Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, Adam |

| reply to alightfoot Why doesnt it let you run as a virtual machine? The license is still running on the machine it was originally supplied for and the hardware has not changed.
Ring MS to activate, just say your HD went dont and you have replaced. They will activate it again. |
