As Usual, Verizon Is Full Of It.... V-A-P-O-R-W-A-R-E

400Mbps, from the same people that can't get a stupid GUI program guide to work right. ROTFLMAO

I hear the 1Gbps deployments are already already being rolled out on the moon, and they will begin taking orders at the end of the next quarter.

No mention of WHAT moon, and WHAT next quarter, but hey, at least this testing is going on in where else but Pennsylvania, the State Verizon loves to bypass on speed upgrades.

They'll test it here, get it working, then take it away to another Fios market with promises to bring it back again SOON..

@verizon.net
I remember your situation from before, but I'm afraid that it seems from my experience and reading that at least in Pittsburgh FIOS KICKS SOME SERIOUS ASS on the competition, and is amazing.

West Chester PA isn't exactly the tech center of the world... What do you have? QVC??? That's about it.

Thanks for getting us the AR forum though.

KA3, for all your hate, sometimes you let it cloud your opinion a bit too much. It is indeed real and trials are underway. We all know you have had some serious issues with your FIOS service and that is a huge headache but the sarcastic posts are really not doing you any good.

Yup, West Chester,PA, the home of QVC.

It's little more than a 24/7 TV commercial, and they actually charge admission for people to tour their studios.

Who the heck wants to pay to watch a live broadcast of a TV commercial???

No hate here, more like despair, and disbelief that they can build such a high tech infrastructure, and have no clue how to make it work reliably.

Now they are wasting money playing with 400Mbps Internet service to scare their competition, wow their investors, and to make their future customers wanting Fios even more.

Find me more than a handful of actual web servers that can dole out information at anywhere close to 400Mbps, and tell me what practical use that kind of speed would have for a home user.

Are we streaming 25 simultaneous HD feeds or something like that?? They aren't going to change their TOS to allow you to run servers anytime either.

That money should be spent fixing their existing problems, and getting stable, reliable, service to their existing customers.

I am paying for this so I still get to complain.

Hey, at the very least it saves me money on high blood pressure meds to vent some frustration here.

Yea, I miss Commodore Business Machines too.

It was cool to have Commodore anchored here in West Chester, they had a really good thing going at first, but were somewhat ill guided, and it killed them off.

I used to live near West Chester. While the town itself may not be a technological Mecca, you should direct your attention a few miles East.

West Chester is where a lot of the people who work in that area live, and just what goes on a few miles East?

South Eastern PA is a center for many Pharmaceutical companies. One notable example, Wyeth. They may not be 'IT', but pharmaceutical companies are certainly not luddites.

West Chester is just where their employees live.

Probably the only reason I still have Fios is because Comcast is the Anti-Christ of corporations.

Now I'm a Comcast Troll???

Go check out the Fios boards, and tell me the only complainers there are planted by Comcast.

Hey, it's whatever you want to believe, but you're really stupid if you want to believe that....
