customer service note

I've never had to call customer service in 4 years at Vonage. Maybe b/c I'm a computer geek and can see where the problem originates. Also, I can deal with a 1% (tops) outage over the whole time. I don't know enough about the financials to know how long they'll exist but I do know they've saved me quite a bit of money over the years.

I did just have a friend that values things a little bit differently call the customer service line recently. They expect the service to be up and running. I thought to myself that they would switch service after the call from the complaints I see on here but they didn't. The reason they told me about it was the excellent customer service they received. Suprised the hell out of me and they even said it was an overseas call center. Vonage conferenced in the ISP and they got the problem resolved. The fact that the ISP was receptive to the call surprised me too. I really don't know what to think about this customer service thing but maybe this is the way Vonage is trying to turn it around, then again, it could have just been one intelligent rep out of a thousand idiots.

I'll keep them until they fold because I like saving money with a more than decent service.
