!!! D-link vta-cv voip adapter always disconnected!!!

I have two unlocked d-link vta-cv voip adapters.
One is 1.00.7 firmware and one is 1.00.8 firmware, both are unlocked.

I setup the same voip number (647********) and related settings in the two adapters, all are working fine, all can receive calls and can call out.

But after a few hours connecting, both of them will disconnect.
the power light and internet lights are solid green, line 1 and line 2 will be black(no signal at all), i have to power on again then everything is ok again.

Maybe the xml configuration file is a little wrong, how can i make it working all the time?
If i remove the acanac voip settings from the d-link adapter, everything is fine and other voip phone will be connected for all days and nites.
I do think something is wrong wiht the xml file of acanac voip phone.

Can someone help me to solve that? I tried several nites to figure it out but failed.

Need help!

Hello,

There is something wrong with your Unit or simply you are behind a router that every so often closes the RTP ports. Please try and place the ATA in front of the router or simply replace your ata with a new one.

I appreciate it.
That means the d-link vta-cv voip adapter is not working well with Acanac voip service.
I have to buy something else.

yes, the d-link vta works with acanac voip service. the only problem is the voip service will be disconnected 6 hours later at its power on.

Hello,

If you notice that it is always around the same time then the router you are behind is closing the ports after a timeout period. Please look at your DHCP timeout or simply look at your firewall settings.

well, last nite i did pull my d-link ata device out from the firewall and i did not see any settings of rtp ports or timeout.

But the acanac voip service will be disconnected too.

I removed the acanac service from the d-link, and add other voip service such as voipcheap and voipdiscount, they are all working fine, never disconnected.

strange to me:)

someone can help me?

Hello,

Not sure what that means. Could be the routing to our network from your ISP is currently broken or has some downtime. Remember your path goes down the internet so basically when you reach our network it registeres. If it stops then try and reach acanac.ca. If you can't then it is your isp, if you can then it is something else. Very strange though. Our servers have not gone down and nobody is complaining about this at all.

I have the same problem. 2 unlocked dlink vta-cv 1.00.8 firmware got freezed after 9 hours 23mins (very consistent) when use acanac voip service. Use in other voip service provider don't have such problem. Front line router with firewall was set port forward 5060 on both udp and tcp to vta-cv's ip. Put vta-cv's ip on DMZ but all no help. I'm sure problem is not located in acanac but I really don't know what kind of compatibility problem faced.
Hi baizw, Have you tried other way to fix?

oh my god...
I'm facing exact same problem. Disconnects in the morning and evening (didn't calculate exact time). But works perfectly fine with some other voip provider.

Previously I used to face similar problems with my d-link vta when I was using vbuzzer. It needs username/display name to be of certain characters only, or something like that.... like should start with alphabet, end with a number, etc

I think acanac too needs something like that, not sure

Hi Pepsi90919,
Are you using firmware 1.00.08-NA2a or just 1.00.07?

Hi Pepsi90919,

Could you briefly show how you unlocked your vta?
My unit comes with firmware 1.00.07. I used cyt3.5
to unlock first and followed "guide" way to get the key
and value of “Provisioning File Path”. Use the path
name, mac address to download xml file and use the key,
mac address to decrypt xml file which was grabbed from
vonage site.
However, I found that edit the xml to do provisioning
is very difficult. So I use simple method, download the
cracked firmware 1.00.08-NA2a which can allow user to edit
provisioning settings easily.
This way is pretty easy but the vta got freezing problem.
I may try to upgrade the firmware to 1.00.09-r070401.img
but I do worry if the vta will be relocked again.

Thanks....newhand123

It isn't unlocked, it's Vonage. Just saying it works well.

I have a PAP2t-NA coming soon so I can switch to Acanac's VOIP in January, I'll let you know how that goes.

I have a two line unlocked Linksys PAP2 ATA and it was also loosing the VOIP connetions with Acanac. Then I configured the second line with a different VOIP provider and found the same issue.

So, I concluded the problems lies with the ATA itself.

If any of you find the solution to this, i would be interested to see that.
