Impacted ISPs

quote:
It also impacted some ISPs such as SuddenLink
Their customers didn't realize it, Suddenlink sucks so much to begin with.

I still hate it when folks feel that they have to apologize for something that was beyond their control. I know it was nice, and I would have done it as well, but this was out of their hands and they still had to apologize.

I'm assuming they are back up and running and reparied?

Yeah, but as someone who works in the retail sector, I know that some customers expect this sort of response, and even those who don't usually feel a bit appreciative of some show of contrition.

Then again, there's also those who think that their $5-a-month hosting plan should entitle them to a backup server in low Earth orbit connected through 100MBps laser-broadband rigs.
