Re: Teleblend Cancelled my Account???

TBguy, any response to why:
1. Our accounts were all changed back to auto-payment without our approval?
2. Why it's taking so long to merge the SR services into your own website...and what the potential roadmap may be?
Thanks,
KM

I will only make this statement. Auto-payment is part of the terms and conditions. So, it should never have been turned off in the first place.
2. What features are you reffering to. We are NOT sunrocket in anyway. If you can be more specific about what features are missing I can address that.

Remember that Teleblend does NOT equal SunRocket. We offer a similar feature set. We offer one of the best pricing models in the industry. We understand that there are currently bumps in the road, but all companies have these bumps. We are working on them, and we welcome your input.

I believe that he is referring to the fact that we still must start at sunrocket.com to manage our features, voice mail, etc. I don't see this as a big deal, but it apparently bugs KoolMoe.

You do not need to start on the sunrocket site. If you go to »myteleblend.net there is a login at the top right directly into the member portal.

I'm not a TB customer, but isn't one able to log in at www.teleblend.net? Also, I found the NETWORK STATUS tab very interesting on the home page, since it does present a dated log of recent problems and their current status or resolution.

It's actually www.myteleblend.net. And I just realized that login is not the same as member login. Login lets you view invoices, track tickets and other activities related to your account. Member login takes you to the portal that allows you to manage your service, voice mail and other features. I had been using sunrocket.com to get to the portal.

You should have 'auto-payment is required as part of terms and conditions' on that page. I'm pretty good at reading such term writeups but apparently missed that line item.

But I do thank you for at least providing the answer. As long as it is part of the terms of service and folks know that, cool by me.

And thanks also on clarifying the link. I only knew of the teleblend URL and couldn't find a way to manage the services. I only found that capability going through SR's old site (which now throws up a couple 'expired cert' errors). It wasn't terribly annoying...more, just, kinda lame.

I checked the other method. I first see, I think, the same page as just teleblend.com, but clicking Member Login does then show another login page at members.teleblend.com
Unsurprisingly, my SR login works and it takes me to the SR feature page, which is now rebranded Teleblend.
So I can do some bookmark updating that's at least a bit more...refined.

Don't overstress 'we are not SR' too much. I get the point and the distinction is made. But, your group obviously did just take over the hardware. Discussions on that are lengthy and pretty much proved. Heck, even clicking the Teleblend link once logged-into the members page results in the SR termination notice.
Which is, in itself, just kinda funny.

A sincere thank you for your replies.

The only reason that I still stress it, is that people still think that we are just sunrocket with a new name. As people have pointed out we bought some of the hardware from a dead company. In my opinion that is a good business move, to get the same thing for a cheaper price on auction. I am sure that more hardware went to many other companies als.

Anyway, glad you got the info, and let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Hey TB guy,
I have just had my number ported away from my teleblend account. Will my teleblend account be terminated automatically (as I know happens with a normal telco port)or do I need to bug tb customer service to do that? I thought I would ask here in case anyone else had the same question and also I don't wish to tie up tb support if not necessary.

Either start bugging or be prepared to continue to receive a billing charge each month..

Once you have confirmed with your outgoing service provider that your line has been moved, you will need to call us in order to cancel your account.

Burris,

All providers require you to call them and cancel the account once you port out. If you do not, they are not obligated to cancel the account for you. If you dont believe me go and look at the Terms of Voange, Packet8, ViaTalk just to name a few.

Did you actually read what I wrote?

The OP asked if it was necessary to start bugging (his expression) TB in order to cancel his service after he was ported away.

My answer was that yes, it was necessary or he would continue to be billed. What is the difference between my answer and yours?

It is very interesting to hear that all carrier required customer who ported out to call. With my limited experience, none of my old carrier did.

The only carriers that will get notification of the port out are CLEC's as they actually own the number, and so they know when it is out of the revnue stream. Most VoIP providers only have the numbers pointed at their servers, and therefore they do not own the numbers.

Also, the rules spelled out by the NPAC and FCC state that you must keep your old service active, and then notify them that you are canceling your service once your port is active. All the major VoIP providers follow the same guidelines. This is easily confirmed by looking at Vonage, Packet8, viaTalk terms of porting.
