| They're not meeting their sales goals... ..so they have to find a way to force the service onto customers who are reluctant to switch. The end of the 3rd Qtr Verizon had 1.3 Million FiOS Customers{they added 229,000 new customers that Qtr}. The end of 4th Qtr target is 2 million subs, and at the current pace they are set to fall 400,000+ subs short. A majority{if not all} of DSLR readers would do almost anything to have to FIOS{or FTTP} availible to their homes; however, this attitude is not reflected by the majority of the populace who still only use the internet for casual surfing/emailing.
Will be very interesting to see how this shakes out and how the State regulatory bodies handle it. The only positive I see is that Habib in Bangalore will now have to worry about his job being downsized for change--as all the FSCs are in the US--LMAO! |
