I bet some lawyer out there is thinking about a precedent he can use to block Verizon from forcing FIOS upgrades on DSL customers. If Verizon came to my building seeking right of way to wire each apartment for FIOS, I would require them to make our TOS include support for copper pair DSL for as long as the CO in our area provides that service.
