Caught in the middle

This is about greed, and I can see the greed of the NFL eventually knocking it from USA's most popular sport.
I'm deluged with commercials but that is not enough revenue stream for them.
I'm with Comcrap, but I side with them on this issue.

As a corollary aside, there is another similar issue/battle being waged (at least in Maryland) between ESPN and Comcast over University of Maryland football games. They are not carrying ESPN360 which has gotten control of the telecast rights.
So as a tax paying citizen of Maryland, I can't watch my State University's game.
NFL is a little different, they are a corporation product and can freely try to squeeze every penny they can get their hands on, until we fans finally say ENOUGH! and have a super bowl TV boycott launched. Then they can gleefully hold their extra revenue as they watch a billion dollar hemmorage happen.

·Comcast

The only time us Terps fans (regardless of location) can see the game live without being socked for an extra fee is when the game is being carried by ESPN/ESPN2 (both in the basic tier) or the ABC affiliate (also in the basic tier)(example: MD-BC). Otherwise, we have to wait for the tape-delay rebroadcasts on the RSN (CSN-MA). ESPN360 is a PPV service on Comcast (and is carried as part of their VOD/PPV offerings, along with ESPN GamePlan); I know of no cable company (including FIOS TV) that carries it in their basic tier. And ESPN360's deal is with the ACC, not just UM. (Both the Cavaliers of UVA and Hokie Nation in Blacksburg got clobbered by this deal, too.)
