Re: Caught in the middle The only time us Terps fans (regardless of location) can see the game live without being socked for an extra fee is when the game is being carried by ESPN/ESPN2 (both in the basic tier) or the ABC affiliate (also in the basic tier)(example: MD-BC). Otherwise, we have to wait for the tape-delay rebroadcasts on the RSN (CSN-MA). ESPN360 is a PPV service on Comcast (and is carried as part of their VOD/PPV offerings, along with ESPN GamePlan); I know of no cable company (including FIOS TV) that carries it in their basic tier. And ESPN360's deal is with the ACC, not just UM. (Both the Cavaliers of UVA and Hokie Nation in Blacksburg got clobbered by this deal, too.) |
