| said by GeekNJ :Then it says "Rate increases after term period." The wording is odd and one would imagine, unless they already anticipate a higher rate that it would say "Rate may increase after term period." I quizzed a phone rep about this, and was told the price DOES increase; specifically, it goes to the month-to-month rate. The way to avoid this is to sign up for another 1 or 2 year agreement.
Now we all know VZ is not bashful about price increases, so YMMV.
I'm waiting for the day they have everyone hooked on super-fast uploads that cable cannot match. Then they'll start taking some fat price increases, knowing that people will complain but won't switch to cable because they're hooked on the speed that only FIOS can deliver.
Seriously, I'm betting that VZ will become the neighborhood crack dealer, in a manner of speaking. Get you "hooked bad", then jack up the price. |
